Your Journal is continuously progressing in both: topics and number of interesing authors sharing their ideas. For couple of months I was very busy making large project which has recently been completed. :o) I was silent but I have read all your publications regularly. Now it is time for following veterans' competition. We have been invited for veterans' meeting to Zielona Góra. The town located close to Germany and Czech Republic. We hope to meet and compete with German and Czech Veterans. This is the reason for extending period of the e-postal competition we have scheduled. We will collect the results of the first and the second weekend of September together. Personally I and my wife Wila will took part on September 12th in Zielona Góra. If you will release your Journal before September 12th be kind adding this note. If you know shooting veterans (45+) in your society let him participate in this competition! http://www.geocities.com/~wi-ko/veterans.html ****************************************************************** I have recently purchased a Hammerli sp20 in 22 long rifle. I have been using RWS pistol match. I am having trouble with leading in the chamber. Of the ammo tested in the pistol on purchase it had the best group. I was wondering if there is anyboby else out there using one of these pistols and if they are having similar problems, also what type of ammo they are using. thanks Kathy ****************************************************************** A question, the other day in the World Cup I saw to a trainer of the select of Poland with a notebook and with a program for Windows in the one which was watching by a telescope the shot of your shooter and after with the touch-pad of the notebook was putting as if it would be with a pointer the impact in a target in the screen, in that way was storing in the PC all the shooting of your shooter. You know something of this, if is procured and where? Best regards Osvaldo Paez [Editor - I saw probably the same thing used by Artem's coach (Russia) in Atlanta. I'm guessing it may be another feature of SCATT. For a while I thought they had some wireless tie into the Suis system because his coach had the shot displayed on his screen immediately after Artem shot. He told me many Russian shooters on the national team use it so it could be SCATT.] ****************************************************************** I am looking for a software who can store records about shooting series with graphic targets where i can plot a "shot" with a mouse click and this software calculates the series and store them not only the values of the shot and whole series but also de "groups" with graphic pictures and other statistics. Ok i know my english is very bad but if someone can help i will thank very much! Anschutz does not manufactrue any of the remaining parts however. This fact was told to me during my last visit at the factury in Ulm. So the report that Anschutz had barrels marked with Walther is correct as the barrels were a part of the production line. Chet Skinner cskinner@dol.net http://www.geocities.com/colosseum/midfield/1245 ****************************************************************** I have a few questions to post: 1. What does it means the "lock time" of a rifle, and how is it being measured? 2. Trigger problem with 1913 Anschutz rifle. In my Anschutz 1913, if I press the first stage then release it, and then press again it again, there is no tension in the second time. Some of the members in the club I belong to said that they experience the same problem. 3. Why we should match ammo to a barrel. What is the technical explanation for that. Eitan Barazani. [Editor - 1. My definition is time from trigger "break" to firing pin hitting the cartridge. 2. IMHO your triggers are dirty (or damaged/worn) causing creep. Carefully clean them. I don't recall if the manual tells you how to lubricate them. Give Neal Johnson a call. 3. Sort of like why your car will get better mileage with certain brands of gas. Because all barrels don't have exactly the same mechanical characteristics (dimensional, harmonics, etc) and ammo is the same way (weight, diameter, velocity, etc). Some ammo will happen to match up better in your gun but not in your buddie's 1913. This holds true from lot to lot of the same brand also though usually not to as great an extent.] ****************************************************************** WANTED: Sig-Hammerli 240 guns and parts in all cal. -.22, .32, .38.
