In this issue: New Links Re: Want info on barrels Australian State Games '99 Number of bloop tube users ******************************************************************** I have added many links to national federations and vendors since June 1. Michael Ray ****************************************************************** Personally I like Lilja barrels. They are a excellent barrel and hold several world records including IR-50/50 in the 10.5 lb. class and the 13.5 lb. class at 50 meters. The two most frequently used barrels for us northwest high power shooters are Lilja and Kreiger. I have 3 Lilja barrels for my rifle. a 26 inch 1:12 twist 308, a 30 inch 1:13 twist in 308, and a spare 26 inch 1:12 in 308. Chuck ****************************************************************** Mike: When you get the chance, check out this site: http://www.bit.net.au/~asg After looking it over, let me know if you think you should mention this in your newsletter. Also, I have been to the place that this event is going to be held, so I can give your readers some insight. Later, Don Williams [Editor - feel free, Don. The above link takes you to the Australian State Games WWW site.] ****************************************************************** Mike when you where at Atlanta WC did you notice how many smallbore shooters were using bloop tubes other than the normal size ones on the 2013-2012-or 2007. Rich Allaire [Editor - for women, very few had tubes, but all the Americans did. For men, about 1/4 did for 3P and about 1/3 for prone, and all the Americans did again. I also see from my pics that some use them only for prone and kneeling. These of course are just estimates from the pictures I have and what I remember - I looked at what rifles and ammo they were using more.] ****************************************************************** End of UIT Mailing List #26 Michael Ray - Systems Engineer Rose-Hulman Inst. of Tech.
